Local-first intelligence · nothing leaves the machine
PARGUS — the AI operating system that runs on your machine
PARGUS — Automated Reasoning & General Utility System. Named for the hundred-eyed watcher who never closed them all at once. A thinking system and its crew of specialists, installed on your own hardware. No cloud. No per-seat subscription. The hundredth user costs what the first one did.
The demonstration: unplug the network, then ask it to write. It still works — because the model was never somewhere else.
Four things that are true of every edition
The same foundation underneath, whatever profession it is dressed for. These are the claims we built the product to survive — not the ones that would be convenient to make.
01
Your work never leaves the computer
The intelligence that writes lives on your machine. We watched a full working session and counted the requests that left it: none. There is no server holding your drafts, because there is no server.
02
It already knows how you sound
Every specialist reads your profile before writing a word — how you speak, who you speak to, which languages you publish in. Correct it once and everything downstream inherits it.
03
Credentials are locked, even from us
Connected accounts are sealed on the device behind a passphrase only you hold — one we cannot recover, because we never receive it. We tried to retrieve a stored key from a running installation and could not. Neither can anyone else.
04
A month of work in an afternoon
Calendars, costed plans, pages, art direction and correspondence come back while you are still in the meeting. You spend the time editing rather than waiting.
A full marketing department, and eight more, that run on one machine
One operating system, 9 editions. The agency edition is a complete marketing department — search, paid media, content, brand and creative — working on your own hardware instead of a subscription. The others carry the same idea into eight further professions. Open one to meet the team.
Why it runs locally. An agency holds other people's unreleased campaigns. The moment that material moves through a shared cloud tool, it becomes a question in the client's next procurement review.

Four-week content calendar, dated and filed
Costed media plan with the arithmetic shown
Landing page as a working HTML file

Why it runs locally. Source protection is not a preference for journalism, it is the job. A cloud draft of an unpublished investigation is a subpoena target and a leak surface at the same time.
Desk
Drafting
Reporter
Drafts the story from what you have, and marks the gaps rather than filling them.
Verification
Fact Checker
Separates confirmed from assumed, and lists what still needs checking.
Standards
Sub-editor
Headlines that match the story, consistent style, risks flagged early.
Distribution
Packaging
Syndication Editor
Recuts one story for every channel without the facts drifting.
Records
Archivist
Keeps the document trail and source register in order, on your machine.
What it hands you
Draft with claims and inferences visibly separated
Verification register listing what is still unconfirmed
Wire, newsletter and social cuts of one story
Why it runs locally. An unannounced title is the most leak-sensitive document a studio owns. Publishers increasingly write local-only tooling into their NDAs.
Design
Mechanics
Systems Designer
Builds the loops and progression, with the balance numbers attached.
Story & dialogue
Narrative Designer
Branching dialogue that stays in character down every path.
Balance
Economy Balancer
Models the in-game economy and flags what each change opens up.
Production
Spaces
Level Architect
Blockout plans with pacing, sightlines and the intended route.
Pipeline
Asset Coordinator
Naming, budgets and the import checklist a build actually needs.
What it hands you
Design bible with systems, curves and balance tables
Branching dialogue trees with state noted per branch
Level blockout briefs and asset checklists
Why it runs locally. Unreleased masters and stems are the asset. A leaked pre-release does not get un-leaked, and no cloud terms of service will make you whole.
Writing Room
Arrangement
Arranger
Section maps, keys and instrumentation worked to your reference.
Words
Lyricist
Drafts to your metre, and flags lines that only work on the page.
Release
Studio prep
Session Producer
Run-sheets and take plans, so studio hours are spent playing.
Campaign
Release Planner
The release timeline worked backwards from the date, deadlines included.
What it hands you
Arrangement map with keys, tempo and section lengths
Session run-sheet and take plan
Release timeline with platform metadata deadlines
Why it runs locally. Client financial records under a professional confidentiality duty cannot be posted to a third-party model. For most practices this is not a policy question, it is the licence.
Ledger
Reconciliation
Reconciler
Matches the books across accounts and reports what did not match.
Exceptions
Anomaly Reviewer
Flags the outliers, with the reason each one was flagged.
Assurance
Documentation
Working Papers Clerk
Assembles the file so a reviewer can follow every conclusion back.
Standards
Compliance Reviewer
Checks treatment against the framework and names the standard.
What it hands you
Reconciliation report with unmatched items listed
Exception register with the reason for each flag
Working papers indexed to their evidence
Why it runs locally. A position under construction is market-sensitive. Research posted through a shared endpoint is an information-barrier problem before it is a technology problem.
Research
Company work
Analyst
Builds the note from your filings and marks anything it could not source.
Sensitivity
Scenario Modeller
Bear, base and bull, with the driver and the breaking assumption.
Committee
Exposure
Risk Reviewer
Names the real exposure in the position as it is actually sized.
Decision papers
Memo Editor
A decision memo that leads with the call and the case against it.
What it hands you
Investment memo with assumptions stated up front
Three-scenario model with drivers named
Risk register sized to the actual position
Why it runs locally. Privilege is the product. Sending a client's matter to a third-party processor is the fastest way to create an argument that privilege was waived.
Drafting
Contract review
Clause Reviewer
Compares against your standard position and flags every departure.
Client comms
Plain-language Editor
Rewrites advice so a client can act on it, without softening risk.
Matter Support
Timelines
Chronologist
Builds the timeline with a source on every entry.
Discovery
Bundle Clerk
Indexes the bundle and reports what is missing from the sequence.
What it hands you
Clause-by-clause review against your standard position
Chronology with a source on every entry
Client-facing summary in plain language
Why it runs locally. Patient data under HIPAA or GDPR cannot be handed to a third-party model on a normal service agreement. Local processing removes the transfer entirely rather than papering over it.
Practice
Letters
Correspondence Writer
Referral and discharge letters in your house style.
Explanations
Patient Educator
Explains a procedure clearly without dropping the caveats.
Research
Study design
Protocol Drafter
Drafts the method, and marks what a committee will question.
Evidence
Literature Reviewer
Summarises the papers, and separates finding from abstract.
What it hands you
Referral and discharge correspondence in house style
Patient explanations at an appropriate reading level
Protocol drafts with committee questions anticipated
Why it runs locally. Competition entries and unlodged planning applications are commercially sensitive until the moment they are not. Local keeps that timing yours.
Studio
Project brief
Brief Writer
Turns a client conversation into a schedule with areas and adjacencies.
Statements
Planning Narrator
Drafts the planning narrative against the policies you cite.
Delivery

Specification Clerk
Outline specification, kept consistent with the drawings.
Client reporting
Report Editor
Stage reports separating progress from decisions still owed.
What it hands you

Optional connectors to WordPress, Meta or Google send data only when you connect an account and approve an action. Image generation can be run locally or through an outside service; the choice is a setting, and the setting says which is which.
Questions people actually ask
What is a full marketing department that runs on one machine?
It is a complete marketing team — search, paid media, content planning, brand voice and creative direction — delivered as software that runs on a single computer instead of as a monthly subscription to a cloud service. PARGUS OS for Agencies works this way: the reasoning engine and every specialist are installed locally, so the work is produced on your own hardware, it keeps working with the internet unplugged, and adding more people costs nothing extra.
Can AI replace a marketing department?
It replaces the hours, not the judgement. PARGUS OS produces the captions, the four-week calendar, the costed media plan, the landing page and the art direction in an afternoon rather than a week — but a person still decides what is worth publishing and approves anything that spends money. The value is that your team edits finished work instead of starting from a blank page.
What is PARGUS OS?
PARGUS — Automated Reasoning & General Utility System — is an AI operating system that runs entirely on your own computer. A reasoning engine, a team of specialist agents and a sealed credential vault are installed locally, so your work is produced on your machine rather than sent to somebody else's. Built by ZIXOU, a digital studio in Lebanon.
Does PARGUS OS send my data to the cloud?
No. The intelligence runs on your own machine and is not reachable from the network. Across a full working session using every tool, we measured the traffic leaving the computer: none. Connectors to platforms such as your website or ad accounts stay dormant until you connect them yourself and approve each action.
Does PARGUS OS work without an internet connection?
Yes. Writing, planning, budgeting and document work all continue with the cable pulled out — that is the demonstration we ask people to run first. Only image generation and publishing to an outside platform need a connection, and both are optional.
How much does PARGUS OS cost per user?
There is no per-seat subscription. PARGUS OS is licensed once and runs on your own hardware, so your thousandth user costs no more in software than your first. Cloud tools cannot match this without dismantling how they charge — it is a structural difference, not a discount.
How are API keys and passwords stored in PARGUS OS?
They are sealed on the device with bank-grade encryption, locked to a passphrase you choose and we never receive. We attacked our own installation to check: a stored key could not be recovered from anywhere on the machine. If you lose the passphrase, not even we can open it — which is the point.
Which industries does PARGUS OS support?
Editions are planned for agencies, press and newsrooms, game design, musicians and studios, accounting and audit, finance and investment, legal practice, clinics and research, and architecture and property. Each edition ships the same architecture with a different crew of specialists.
What are PARGUS OS agents?
Each edition is organised the way a real firm is: departments, and two or three specialists inside each. You brief one at a time, and they genuinely disagree — ask a technical analyst and a content specialist about the same page and you get two different answers, because they are looking for different things. That disagreement is where the value is.
What hardware does PARGUS OS need?
An ordinary modern Windows PC. A machine bought in the last few years runs it comfortably; a dedicated graphics card makes it quick. A lighter configuration is available for older laptops. It needs no administrator rights and no IT project to install.
Is PARGUS OS an alternative to cloud marketing tools?
It covers the same ground as cloud copywriting, planning and campaign tools, with two differences: the work is generated on your own hardware rather than a vendor's, and there is no monthly per-seat fee. For organisations with confidentiality obligations, local processing removes the data transfer question rather than managing it.
When is PARGUS OS available?
The agency edition is shipping to first installations now. Press and game design are in build. The remaining editions are in design. Join the early access list to be told when your edition opens.
Two ways to get it
Run it yourself, or put your own name on it and sell it to the people who already trust you.
Direct
For your own business
One licence, installed on your machines, working the day it arrives. No seats to count, no monthly invoice that grows with your team, and no vendor holding your work.
For agencies, consultancies and integrators with a client base already in place. Ship it under your own name and your own mark. The arithmetic is the reason: because it runs on the client’s hardware, your hundredth client costs you no more in software than your first.
